New Sasquatch Themed Board Game Unites Believers and Skeptics
Salt Lake City, UT, 2017-Dec-15 — /EPR ENTERTAINMENT NEWS/ — Cryptolabs, Inc. today announced that Squatch The Board Game, (currently in funding on Kickstarter), will be released for online purchase March 24th, 2018 worldwide via www.catchsasquatch.com.
Squatch is a fast paced table top game designed by a group of 5 designers, engineers, and entrepreneurs, created with gamers of all ages in mind. It’s simplicity allows young players to enjoy it, while the diverse deck and endless outcomes means the more skilled gamers will find themselves happily buried in the game for hours at a time. It features a number of familiar gameplay concepts from classics like Settlers of Catan, presented in an easy to understand format with endless possibilities. The game also boasts never before seen techniques and moves used to reach your final objective. All features interact harmoniously, constructing this addicting game, one you’re sure to come back to game night after game night.
The idea for creating this game was born one night when a group of friends came together for a game night. They enjoyed their games, but wanted to create the perfect game. One they could call their own. Between their various backgrounds of engineering, design, marketing, and entrepreneurship, they realized they could have a lot of fun creating a game that would be all sorts of fun for everybody who played it. They began collaborating immediately, making thousands of revisions along the way, until they ended up with a playful game which includes elements from classic favorites, mixed with unprecedented gameplay elements which add exciting twists and turns along the journey to find and capture the elusive and majestic Sasquatch.
Los Angeles, CA, 2017-Mar-23 — /EPR ENTERTAINMENT NEWS/ — Funky Bots announces the launch of Atomic Bands on IndieGoGo. Atomic Bands are smart bluetooth gaming and the first wearables for gesture based gameplay. They feature advanced bluetooth motion tracking, single or multi player options. No camera or remote control needed and most of all these bands teach players real skills. Features include: gesture recognition, haptics for advanced rhythm training and a rad wireless oracle charging station. Play augmented reality games and make fitness fun.
Atomic Bands are a pair of wearables, worn on the wrists or ankles, that aim to accurately approximate full skeletal body tracking. They have haptic feedback, OLED displays and LED lighting to give a variety of feedback points as part of dance, martial arts and fitness focused gameplay. These smart bluetooth gaming devices offer new options for Augmented Reality gaming. No camera, console or remote control needed. Single or multiplayer options. Make fitness FUN!
Atomic Bands were chosen as one of the Top New Gadgets of CES 2017 (CNET, BBC Science, 2one5 and NewsHacker). “The perfect product for the fitness junkie, the gamer, and everyone in between was being showcased at CES this year. Funky Bots Atomic Bands are super-hero inspired and here to make all of your dreams a reality, seriously. The Atomic Bands are a new device for body motion gaming and are the first of their kind offering single and multiplayer options. You can learn those sick dance moves that have always been on your bucket list or create things in an AR 3D world with the simplest gestures with advanced real-time motion tracking and pattern recognition.” – 2one5, Best of CES
Atomic Bands add a whole new dimension to body motion gaming. Now gamers can play anywhere and don’t have to stand in range of a camera. Players can move anywhere and still be in the game. Moreover, the devices are connected to an entire Funky Bots app platform where players learn real movement skills: how to toprock, salsa or practice monkey kung fu. Seamus Byrne of CNET wrote, “Don’t dismiss these bands as just another gaming peripheral. Atomic Bands want to become the Duolingo of dance and martial arts education.”
Funky Bots currently is developing innovative gesture based games to be available with Atomic Bands. They created three apps that were chosen by Apple as Best New App as well as the first motion sensor apps for Taichi and street dance. They were also winners of the Alcatel Innovation Challenge (Paris) and part of the Technogym Wellness Accelerator (Venice).
ALL these games for Atomic Bands will be FREE to download on iOS and Android platforms. This means after players have Atomic Bands, they no longer have to pay for games (which normally runs between $20-40 EACH! for Kinect or Xbox… ) Funky Bots is also releasing an SDK so developers can also create games for the Atomic Bands as well. The devices are on pre-order at IndieGogo and scheduled to ship in October with titles such as KAPOW (fighting robots Rockem Sockem style), House Dance with Jardy (Youtube king of house dance), Sonic Utopia (where players can make music and bend air with gesture), Monkey Kung Fu, Gym Rat, and more…
Atomic Bands feature an innovative Yin Yang design where the two sides come together like a Temple of Doom inspired magic oracle, so charging the device is fun, not an eyesore with cords hanging everywhere. The oracle base station uses innovative wireless charging to power up the devices. The LEDs lights and OLED screens make it as fun as pinball on your wrists. Advanced piezo haptics with 2 different microhammers for musical rhythm training means players can feel both the BASS and the HIGH HAT beats. Boom KLAK, Boom Boom KLAK. The devices also have advanced pattern matching and gesture recognition, which approximates skeletal tracking of body movements without the use of a camera or infrared technology.
These rad new gaming bands not only teach players real skillz through body motion gaming, but also allow players to create new AR worlds in 3d. Gestures can make music, bend air and build whole cities.
Bluetooth single or multi-player options
Real time motion tracking without field of view restrictions
Advanced pattern matching technology
9-axis sensor with accelerometer and gyroscope
Piezo haptics for rhythm training
Wireless Yin Yang oracle charging station
OLED screen & RGB LED lights
Onboard audio + Speaker

Splash and Relax have made leisure activities their main market place for many years and it is with a good deal of pleasure that they are to promote a series of multi games tables which can cover a full gamut of activities for adult and child alike. The multi games tables are becoming a great addition to the market place as they provide a full range of different games which can be played easily in the house. Some of the games are energetic and some are quiet and thoughtful and so they provide a great range of activities for all the different occasions that a family meets and it is this diversity of requirements that has made Splash and Relax expand its range of multi games tables.
It is most likely that the main obstacle to a multi games table is the television or the electronic game but Splash and Relax are pleased to promote a system where the emphasis is on imaginative games which often require exercise or some form of movement rather than the problems that develop from sitting in a chair looking at a screen. Many years ago multi games were every child’s dream as they received a “compendium of games” in their Christmas stocking. The games were ones like snakes and ladders and ludo and many other board games, which now sound rather out of date. Probably the thing that they did require was 2 people to play the game and they did not have the flashing lights and death defying stunts and roaring music of the latest electronic gadget. They did however provide time away from the television (If you had one) and fostered family life together, which is so important in later life.
Splash and Relax – http://www.splashandrelax.co.uk – note that the multi games tables in many ways recapture the essence of the old compendium of games set up but have brought the whole system up to date. Now instead of pressing a few keys on an electronic games consul in a virtual world the games of pool or air hockey can be played properly on a very attractive games table. If those games are not popular today they can try table football and if that is no good there is anything up to another 30 other games that can be used. This is ideal for family where the children get bored with one game but are fascinated by another game. It also has the advantage that many of these games can be played by the whole family and not just the solitary and sedentary system of an armchair consul.
Splash and Relax have a range of multi table games which suit all pockets but they have aimed at producing a range that have a variety of different games so that what might not interest one group may well interest another group, old or young, male or female. Time should be taken to examine the different types of games available and will they suit the family and base their judgement on that.

Bonlays has helped a British dog fly the flag whilst winning the ‘ugliest dog in the world’ competition in the USA. A Peterborough based Chinese Crested dog, named Mugly has been crowned as the ‘ugliest dog in the world’ winning the contest that took place in Petaluma, California wearing a very patriotic outfit.
Mugly wore a Union Jack ensemble that featured a sparkly blue, white and red hat, Union jack collar and Union Jack heart t-shirt. The Union Jack t-shirt was purchased by owner Bev Nicholson through Bonlays, one of the UK’s leading online pet retailers.
Ms Nicholson told the press: “I’m excited, I’m overwhelmed. I’m so proud to be taking him back to the UK. He’s a really sweet, sensitive dog.”
Beating 28 other canines to the title, eight year old Mugly won $1000, a photo shoot and a year’s supply of dog treats.
The moment that it was announced that the contest has been won by a Brit, there was a huge roar of clapping and cheers and Mugly’s outfit showed just how passionate he is about his country. Bonlays’ collection of Union Jack attire is proving to be very popular among dog owners with the Jubilee celebrations and the up and coming London 2012 Olympics.
Managing Director of Bonlays, Rob Doole commented: “We’re so proud that a British dog has won this annual contest and we couldn’t think of a more noteworthy winner than Mugly. He looked very smart in his all Union Jack outfit and deserves to have a year’s worth of treats.
“This contest has proven just how patriotic we Brits can be and with the Olympic Games soon approaching now couldn’t be a better time to get into the spirit of flying the Union Jack.”
Speaking of her purchase and the service that was provided to Mugly’s owner, Bev said: “I was very impressed, when I came across the Bonlays collection of dog clothing, at how vast it was. When I saw the Union Jack t-shirt I fell in love with it and knew that Mugly would look adorable in it.
“Although he may not be everything to look at you can’t help but love him and his personality is beautiful. It just goes to prove that it what’s inside that counts.”

Six brave ladies volunteered their time to strut the catwalk and model the new spring collections at Lightwater Country Shopping Village in aid of Saint Michael’s Hospice.
Organised by Rachel Bowen, Kathleen Stockhill and Maureen Watson from the neighbouring village of North Stainley, over 120 people were in attendance as the ladies modelled the new spring collections currently available in the shopping village, from great brands such as Klass, Roman Originals, Alexara, Tigi and Just Elegance to accessories by Mint Jewellery and bags by Stone and Ridgeway Leather. With the fashion being divided into four distinct collections, from ‘Weekend Wear’ and ‘Ladies who Lunch’, to ‘A day at the Races’ and ‘Cruise and Evening Wear’, the audience were given plenty of fresh ideas for the season ahead and enjoyed an afternoon of sophistication and glamour.
Lightwater Country Shopping Village agreed to donate all proceeds from both the entrance and refreshments sold at the event and Rachel, Kath and Maureen organised a raffle, bringing the combined total raised to over £500 for Saint Michael’s Hospice.
Mark Bainbridge, General Manager at Lightwater Country Shopping Village, said:
“We’re so grateful to these brave ladies for volunteering to take part in this fashion show – it takes a lot of guts to get up there and strut your stuff and they all did it so well. You could be forgiven for thinking that when Lightwater Valley Theme Park closes to the public at the end of October, nothing happens there until it re-opens in the week before Easter. But, actually, quite the opposite is true.
In the ‘winter breakdown’, nearly every single one of the 33 rides – including ‘The Ultimate’, which is the longest rollercoaster in Europe – is completely stripped down for full maintenance: a huge undertaking that requires specialist engineering, experience and a lot of hard work. Anybody that was to visit the park in the summer and then pay a return visit in the winter months would find it barely recognisable, such is the scale of the breakdown.
Lightwater Valley employs 13 maintenance engineers and regularly takes on apprentices, one of whom, Mark Taylor, has just passed all his NVQ exams and is now working full-time at the theme park as a maintenance fitter. The team is headed up by Engineering Manager Tony Bolsover, who has been at Lightwater Valley for 14 years. Tony spent five years working exclusively on ‘The Ultimate’ and then becoming a supervisor before being entrusted to lead the team.
Tony said: “People probably wouldn’t expect it but winter is when the really hard work begins.
“We literally completely dismantle the rides, thoroughly assess the parts and then make any fixes that need to be made in the workshop. Each and every element of the rides has to meet the exacting standards of the ride inspector (electrical, mechanical & structural), or else that ride will quite rightly not be allowed to run.
“It’s a huge task, but it’s ultimately hugely satisfying; particularly when you see each of the rides working like clockwork when the park re-opens to the public in the spring.”
Each of the engineers tends to specialise on certain rides and every one of them needs – for very good reason – to complete a working at heights course before they can start maintenance on the rides. Any contractors that are used must have full health and safety regulations in place before they can start work at Lightwater Valley.

Lightwater Valley Theme Park near Ripon in North Yorkshire has launched a new TV advertising campaign ahead of its reopening on Saturday 24 March.
The new ‘Aftershock’ TV advert sees a boy taken to the doctor’s to see what can be done to rid the boy of the resulting permanent shock of hair and expression of constant rapture on his face after a visit to Lightwater Valley. The advert will go out across the Yorkshire region and is designed to fit in with the park’s 2012 theme park re-brand – with its new ‘The Ultimate Adventure’ strapline – which represents Lightwater Valley as a place of mischief and fun, and the overall experience as an unforgettable one that visitors will want to return to again and again.
In keeping with its dedication to interacting with the public via social media – it has 12,087 Facebook fans and 2,162 Twitter followers – Lightwater Valley has asked people to comment on the advert and is also offering a competition tickets for the best tributes to it. Participants are asked to style their hair with extra hold gel, pull their best aftershock face, capture it on camera and then post the resulting picture to the Facebook wall. 20 day tickets and 12 season tickets are on offer to the people with the most ‘Likes’ – essentially, votes by other people visiting the Facebook page.
Lightwater Valley has also launched a new website www.lightwatervalley.co.uk in response to feedback from visitors, with one Twitter follower – @largerpete – already commenting “Surprising how a simple glance around a refreshed website makes the desire to visit shoot up”. The website includes an online booking form, videos, a special offers section, improved event banners and a new blog.
Lightwater Valley’s Marketing Manager, Ashley Young, said: “We really enjoyed making this advert and hope that it gives people that haven’t visited us before a really positive impression of the experience they’ll have here while reminding people that have been here what fun there is to be had at Lightwater Valley.
“In terms of the new website, we’ve taken on board the feedback we’ve had through Facebook, Twitter and word-of-mouth channels and responded by making it easier for users to navigate and find the information they’re looking for, and including more interactive content.”

Routine Is Important for Children and Families. It involves daily life actions, from getting up in the morning to going to bed at night. When implemented appropriately, it helps structure and organize the day so it flows more easily. Without it—or with too much!—conflict, insecurity and other behavioral and emotional difficulties can arise.
The sky is blue and flowers are blooming everywhere. Tiny green buds are visible on tree branches and birds are singing beautiful songs. Spring is in the air and Easter is around the corner. Down on Cottontail Lane, the Easter Bunny is preparing for the big day. This Easter, he wanted to do something extra special for all the children of the world. Easter was getting closer and he still had only mediocre ideas. The same old traditional gifts were just not going to cut it. A few months ago, the Easter Bunny created the Easter Bunny letter, a personalized letter from the Easter Bunny to each child. Confirmed by his survey, parents all agreed that children loved opening a “real” letter from the Easter Bunny. The purpose was not to top this idea but to send an extra special gift in addition to the personalized Easter Bunny Letter.
The Easter Bunny quickly realized it was time to get to work. He began thumping his big white rabbit foot and scratching between his long white ears. The Easter Bunny knew he needed to gather information from parents in order to create such a wonderful surprise for the children. He conducted a survey, which revealed that children enjoyed a very simple pleasure…they loved to color. Now the Easter Bunny was very excited! He finally he had reliable information to create the perfect gift. He immediately started to construct coloring pages for all the children. The Easter Bunny drew many different pictures of himself participating in exciting Easter activities. He then personalized each page for a particular child. The child’s name and a very personal message we inserted into the drawing he created. Each page is left uncolored so that the children could color it and make it their very own.
The most exciting part of the Christmas holiday is all the anticipation before the big day comes. People everywhere are full of cheer. As Christmas lights start going up on house trims, the smell of pine is in the air. Christmas trees are whisked into living rooms to amplify the magic of the holidays.
The Christmas spirit is in full swing as people try to make miracles come true for others who are less fortunate. Christmas cards are handpicked and dropped in the mailbox while children create their own beautiful letters full of wants and wishes to send to Santa. They dance their way to the mailbox and drop off their very own little creation addressed to: Mr. and Mrs. Santa Claus @ The North Pole. Skipping away, they cross their fingers in hope that they will all receive letters from Santa.
Every child wants to tell Santa whether they have been naughty or nice this year. These little angels are so excited to see what Santa will leave them under the Christmas tree. They all hope and pray that they are on Santa’s “good list.” Letters to Santa are the last chance a child has to seal the deal if there was any questionable behavior before Christmas day. These letters to Santa are a child’s way of communicating with the North Pole and all the special people who help make Christmas happen. Peter Cottontail thought that Santa and his elves had a great idea tracking the reactions from children that were mailed authentic letters. He quickly began doing the same. It took many hours to survey the parents and examine all his Easter Bunny letters from over the years for any feedback.
After all the work of gathering information he tallied up all his data which proved that more children have a spectacular Easter when they receive a “real” letter in the mailbox. Some parents did report that it did make a difference in how their child enjoyed the holiday. However, majority of parents stated that it made an overwhelming impact in a positive way. In addition, as said in the prior study, many people who did not receive a special letter agreed that the holiday would have been infinitely more positive had they received an Easter Bunny letter. They said that getting a genuine letter from Peter Cottontail made the children feel special.
These days, children have a hard time believing in exciting holiday icons such as Santa, and the Easter Bunny. This makes it harder to surprise them with letters from the Easter Bunny and other holiday icons. When a child opens up a letter from the mailbox that is addressed to them and references personal things, it puts the magic of the holiday back into the air for them. Parents also agreed that when they think about their own childhood, the most memorable holidays were associated with receiving something very special made just for them. Very simple gestures result in a memory that lasts a lifetime.
The Bunny represents everything fun in Easter. Children get excited in the morning when they wake up and they see all the eggs and treats he has left for them. The Easter Bunny symbolizes the beginning of spring. Springtime is the season where nature re-creates life and gives all living things a natural sense of hope to exist. Believing is that one crucial thing you need to keep your eyes forward and your head up. When a child believes, it allows them to approach to New Year with positivity and optimism…just as nature intended.
This holiday season, thousands of children are looking forward to receiving a Nintendo Wii game. But there’s a problem lurking in Santa’s sack; some kids won’t be very happy with their parent’s choice of Wii entertainment.
Because a number of parents have no clue what their game players actually look for in a Wii video game. But a solution for both parents and children is at hand; helping buyers decide, before the Wii game purchase decision has been made. A new game review site, www.WiiGameReviews.pbwiki.com, dedicated to Nintendo Wii game reviews made by actual players, has been launched to help avoid disappointment with game content.
As a ‘Wiki’, the site is all Wii user-generated content. According to Google, a Wiki is; “a collection of web pages designed to enable anyone who accesses it to contribute or modify content, using a simple interface.” Anyone is welcome to add their own Wii game review to the site. By adding a video, audio or text comment to any of the sections.
What’s more, the site has dedicated sections to; Wii action games, Wii Sports and racing games, Wii role-playing games, Wii brain games, Wii games for girls and more. Information is also available on how to fix a broken Nintendo Wii, Wii competitions and giveaways. Plus, how to get the best deals on Wii consoles, games and accessories.
