The Fairytale Keeper series: Not Your Average Fairy Tale Retelling

It’s a Grimm situation in the entertainment world these days. Literally. Grimm fairy tale retellings have taken over movie screens, television sets, and books shelves. From steam punk to comedy, and fantasy to science fiction, it seems fairy tales have seeped into every genre available this year.

Upon first glance, one might wonder what makes Andrea Cefalo’s The Fairytale Keeper: Avenging the Queen stand out from the crowd. It’s young adult historical fiction, which isn’t exactly original when it comes to fairytale retellings, but Cefalo doesn’t stick to just one of Grimm’s fairy tales in her Fairytale Keeper series. She supposes the most noted of these stories (Snow White, Cinderella, The Elves and the Shoemaker etc.) come from one person, a spitfire cobbler’s apprentice and novice story teller living in thirteenth century Germany. “I want the reader to believe that it’s possible for one person to have come up with all these tales,” say Cefalo.“To do that, I had to develop realistic characters and a historically-accurate setting.”

Fifteen year-old Adelaide, who will one day be immortalized in the story of Snow White, narrates this coming-of-age tale in which she quickly and harshly learns how corrupt her beloved home city of Cologne has become. Adelaide’s deep loyalty to her loved ones reveals itself through her confliction as she chooses between fighting the corruption and avenging her mother or keeping her father, friends, and her first love safe from the enemy.

The Fairytale Keeper series paints medieval Cologne vividly and develops a set of dynamic characters, bringing the famous villains, heroes, and damsels of Grimm’s fairy tales to life. Cinderella happens to be Adelaide’s self-indulgent, yet well-meaning cousin and her drunkard, yet hard-working father is the Shoemaker from the famous Elves and the Shoemaker story. However, not all main characters are cast into a Grimm fairy tale role yet. The role of Adelaide’s love interest, Ivo, is up in the air. Will he be the Prince in the Snow White story or some other character? When asked about Ivo’s role, Cefalo says, “Time will tell. There are going to be four books in the series. It’s funny. Most of the time the story writes itself and it would be wrong of me to assume that Ivo will end up a certain way.”

By the end, historical events and real people from the time period are so artfully woven into the retellings the reader will be left wondering if this is fact or fiction, making The Fairytale Keeper: Avenging the Queen a convincing and compelling fairy tale retelling.

The Fairytale Keeper: Avenging the Queen is set for release on June 1, 2012. It can be pre-ordered through the author’s website: www.andreacefalo.com or purchased in local bookstores and through online book retailers for 11.99 plus shipping and handling. For the latest news on this series, follow the author, Andrea Cefalo, on her website, Facebook fan page (www.facebook.com/andreacefalo), and on Twitter (www.twitter.com/#!/AndreaCefalo).

Lightwater Valley Engineers Put In The Hard Graft Before Theme Park Re-Opens In March

You could be forgiven for thinking that when Lightwater Valley Theme Park closes to the public at the end of October, nothing happens there until it re-opens in the week before Easter. But, actually, quite the opposite is true.

In the ‘winter breakdown’, nearly every single one of the 33 rides – including ‘The Ultimate’, which is the longest rollercoaster in Europe – is completely stripped down for full maintenance: a huge undertaking that requires specialist engineering, experience and a lot of hard work. Anybody that was to visit the park in the summer and then pay a return visit in the winter months would find it barely recognisable, such is the scale of the breakdown.

Lightwater Valley employs 13 maintenance engineers and regularly takes on apprentices, one of whom, Mark Taylor, has just passed all his NVQ exams and is now working full-time at the theme park as a maintenance fitter. The team is headed up by Engineering Manager Tony Bolsover, who has been at Lightwater Valley for 14 years. Tony spent five years working exclusively on ‘The Ultimate’ and then becoming a supervisor before being entrusted to lead the team.

Tony said: “People probably wouldn’t expect it but winter is when the really hard work begins.

“We literally completely dismantle the rides, thoroughly assess the parts and then make any fixes that need to be made in the workshop. Each and every element of the rides has to meet the exacting standards of the ride inspector (electrical, mechanical & structural), or else that ride will quite rightly not be allowed to run.

“It’s a huge task, but it’s ultimately hugely satisfying; particularly when you see each of the rides working like clockwork when the park re-opens to the public in the spring.”

Each of the engineers tends to specialise on certain rides and every one of them needs – for very good reason – to complete a working at heights course before they can start maintenance on the rides. Any contractors that are used must have full health and safety regulations in place before they can start work at Lightwater Valley.

Lightwater Valley Theme Park in Ripon, North Yorkshire is home to over 40 rides and attractions. After developing from a self picking strawberry farm, rides were introduced in 1987, making it into one of the UK’s top, modern day theme parks. Lightwater Valley Theme Park will re-open to visitors on 24 March 2012.

First Images Of WWII German Submarine Sunk 68 Years Ago In Brazil

The U-Boat was located by the Schurmann Family in July 2011. Almost one year after locating the submarine, the Schurmanns joined efforts with deep sea diving experts to collect images of the U-513. With specialized technology, using a remotely operated underwater vehicle (ROV) the expedition made a 135 meters dive to film and take pictures of the wreck, for the first time in history.

“After years of research, finally we watched this historical moment. We first saw a shadow then gradually the images became very clear, the submarine is almost intact and whole as if she was placed there to sleep” said Vilfredo Schurmann leader of the expedition.

“The ROV (Remotely operated underwater vehicle) did several dives and with every new image we celebrated this great feat” says David Schurmann, the film director.

It all began in 2001 aboard their sailing yacht “Aysso”, when the Schurmanns a well-known sailing and expedition family in Brazil, was told of the story of a German submarine, sunk in 1943 during WWII in the waters of Southern Brazil.

Vilfredo and Heloisa Schurmann where hooked on the mysterious story and started researching the facts in the National Archives in Washington – USA, Berlin – Germany and in Rio de Janeiro – Brazil.

They were granted a license from the Brazilian Navy, and obtained the support of the Santa Catarina Government and UNIVALI University and were sponsored by TOTVS, CPE (Coastal Planning & Engineering) and FUGRO BRAZIL to further the search.

A team of 35 professionals (all volunteers) which included divers, oceanographers, retired officers from the Brazilian and USA Navy & Air Force, archaeologists, historians, filmmakers and the last surviving member of the USA airplane responsible for the U-boat sinking aided on the search.

After 2 years and 18 expeditions at sea, operating Side Scanning Sonars and Magnetometer, on July 17th 2011 on board their adapted sailing yacht “Aysso”, the Schurmanns located the exact position of the sunken submarine.

On March 8, 2012, aboard two ships, the expedition led by Vilfredo Schurmann and a crew of 20, filmed for the first time in history since her sinking 68 years ago, images of U-513. The U-boat is considered one of the WWII submarines sunk furthers away from Germany during battle.

The underwater footage of the U-513 was made with a ROV model Sea Eye Falcon Marine, capable of operating up to 300 meters deep, assigned and operated by FUGRO BRAZIL.

S/V “Aysso” and M/V “Thunder” anchored at the location, launched the ROV (Remotely operated underwater vehicle) and with sonar-aided navigation (similar to a ship’s radar – working under water) located the submarine.

The recordings were performed with the ROV camera itself. For best results, HD 3D cameras were also mounted in housings to captured images of the submarine.

Support: Santa Catarina Government and UNIVALI University

The U-513, under the command of the German captain Karl Friedrich Guggenberger, had the mission to sink any enemy vessel on the route between Buenos Aires and Rio de Janeiro. She had already torpedoed three ships, including two Americans and a Brazilian.

The U-Boat-513 sank on July 19th, 1943. Lieutenant Roy S. Whitcomb was on a PBM-VP-74 flying-boat bomber on an antisubmarine sweep and spotted the surfaced U-boat. He ordered the attack. Captain Guggenberger on the deck of the submarine saw the approaching plane, he knew there was no time to submerge and began a counterattack. Whitcomb’s dropped six 225-pound bombs depth charges and the U-boat absorbed the full impact on her hull.

The U-513, 76 meters in length sunk immediately with its 46 crew. 7 men who were on deck where the only survivors, among them the captain Guggenberger.

The Schurmann Family is the first Brazilian family to circumnavigate the world on a sailboat and the only Brazilian family to have done it twice. A household name in Brazil, the Schurmann Family has been active around the world through their online school program, as well as their films and TV programs.

In 1984 Vilfredo, Heloisa and their children left their home, their work and school and set off from Florianópolis, the capital city of the State of Santa Catarina, in southern Brazil, to pursue their dream: circumnavigate the world on a sailing yacht.

Their children, Pierre, David and Wilhelm, were 15, 10 and 7 years old. On this first adventure, the Schurmann Family spent 10 years at sea.

In 1997 the Schurmann Family began their second great adventure Magellan Global Adventure. The goal was to retrace the route sailed by Ferdinand Magellan’s fleet, the first complete circumnavigation of the planet. For this adventure, apart from the parents only their son David Schurmann and Kat, their 5-year-old daughter went along. Magellan Global Adventure was followed by more than 1,5 million people, from 44 countries. Every month the adventure’s filmed reports, broadcast internationally, had an average of 40 million television viewers in Brazil and many more around the world. After 30 months, the Schurmann’s yacht returned to Brazil.

The Family members are: Vilfredo, Heloisa, Pierre, David, Wilhelm and Kat Schurmann (d. 2006).
They have released 4 best sellers in Brazil and one box office hit documentary film: Books
• Em Busca do Sonho (2006) Portuguese

Soda Poker, A Whole New Way Of Enjoying Online Poker!

A new multilingual poker room has just been launched by one on the main online poker publishers with the intention of becoming an alternative to the current online poker monopoly.

POKER hit the web in the mid 00’s and has since never ceased to grow in popularity. But governments around the world have decided that now is the time to impose regulations on online gambling and as a result you may have noticed that playing poker with real money is getting tougher and tougher (especially if you are living in the US!).

In the mean time, playing poker with virtual chips on social networks has never been as trendy, fun and easy! Don’t deny it; even your mom and your little sister are on it… These so called social poker games owe their popularity to the fact that while being built around a game you usually find in a casino; because you can’t cash out your winnings, for legislators, it’s not gambling so you (and the companies running them) are alright with them.

Now the companies running these models are seriously considering adding cash out options once the game will be regulated, and the companies running real money poker rooms are looking at social poker games as a way of not only offering a different version of the game, but also penetrating virgin territories such as social networks or mobile devices.

It’s going to be a war of the worlds when these gaming giants collide, but undoubtedly poker players will come out as winners, as the competition will generate new products and new offers for the end users…

In the mist of it all, Cmedia, a company based on the Spanish coast of Barcelona has launched Soda Poker, a social poker room that aims to offer a serious alternative to other poker rooms.

The name Cmedia may not ring a bell, but if you have ever been on a website related to poker or any other form of online gambling, chances are you were on one of theirs: with over 1000 websites online, they are amongst the biggest online gambling publishers in the world… so you can trust they know what they are doing when it comes to online poker. They are the people behind Freepoker.org and Pokerholdem.com.

Soda Poker is easy because unlike any other Texas Holdem poker site you can register and play for free in just a few clicks. It’s quick, easy and simple. It gets you seated at the poker table in just a few seconds without asking you for your bank account details, or your grand mother’s maiden name. And it’s freemium, meaning that every day; you can come back and play without having to deposit real money. But if you want to play the higher stakes you can always buy into the premium model and get more chips allowing you to play at a higher level. Because players don’t actually bet with real money, Soda Poker is a totally risk free game, you can just play for the fun of the game! It’s really the closest you’ll get to playing a home game with your friends, and that’s why it’s one of the fastest growing social poker communities and one of the hottest places to be dealt cards on the web right now!

Online Guitar Teacher Shows Guitarists How To Write Guitar Solos

Online guitar teacher Tom Hess and Firewolfe guitarist Nick Layton have announced the release of a special online resource to help guitarists create better guitar solos.

It is common for many guitarists to search online for guitar lessons, videos, and tablature to learn how to solo on guitar. As a result, these guitar players often simply copy the guitar solos of others, but never learn how to make guitar solos for themselves. This is considered to be a problem for the majority of guitar players.

In response, Tom Hess has teamed up with guitar player Nick Layton (Firewolfe) to create “Master Guitar Soloing Now” in order to help other guitar players learn to compose professional quality solos. In this online resource, Hess emphasizes practicing “guitar phrasing” (how one decides to play specific notes on guitar).

“You can’t name a single ‘great’ guitarist who wasn’t a master of guitar phrasing. Different guitar players may have strengths or weaknesses in other areas, but all the great players have mastered phrasing. This is the ONLY universal truth among the greatest guitarists”, says Tom Hess, co-creator of Master Guitar Soloing Now.

Hess goes on to say: “Why are there very few instructional materials on how to improve your guitar phrasing? The answer is simple:

1. The vast majority of guitar teachers simply do not have great guitar phrasing themselves.

2. The few that do, find it very hard to teach guitar phrasing to others in an easy-to-understand way… so they teach other things only instead.

3. Most guitar players who don’t have great phrasing have a difficult time understanding ‘what’ they need to do to improve it. The few guitar teachers who attempt to teach phrasing typically say, “play this lick like I do, because the phrasing sounds good”. Even if the student is able to play that specific lick exactly as the teacher can, he still has NOT actually LEARNED anything about how to improve his/her guitar phrasing in general. This means that when the student will play another guitar lick, the phrasing won’t be any better because he only copied the teacher’s playing without getting an understanding of ‘how’ to apply any real phrasing from the first lick to the second one.”

Bonaventure to Boston College: Here come The Bogside Artists!

The Bogside Artists of Derry, Tom Kelly, William Kelly and Kevin Hasson are on their way to St. Bonaventure University Buffalo to give talks and paint a mural for campus. “We look on this as a farewell gesture of sorts,” explained one of the trio Kevin Hasson. “The focus of our creativity from now on will be in Europe as part of the Art of Reconciliation program begun by our friend and agent Desmond Doyle.”

From Buffalo they will travel to Boston College to hold workshops and similarly give talks on their lives and work. Many documentaries have been made about the artists and one or two of these will comprise the visuals of their presentations.

The Bogside Artists are world renowned for the series of twelve murals they created for Derry called The People’s Gallery. These august images that stand like colossal sentries guarding the Bogside – the area that witnessed the worst of the troubles since 1968 – constitute the most visited tourist attraction in the city if not the whole of Ireland.

It has been over a decade since the artists last addressed the students of BC. Now, new students take the place of the old but their eagerness to hear the story of N.Ireland’s three decades of political strife is assured by hosts Profs, John Michalczyk and international peace negotiator Raymond Helmick both friends of the artists. Said spokesman Tom Kelly. “It will be wonderful catching up with old friends at BC. We have very fond memories of the people we met there. Our sincerest thanks to St. Bonaventure for inviting us over in the first place. The murals we created, as everybody knows, have been dumbed down by incumbent politicos who flourish and are kept in power by a Westminster sponsored policy of appeasement. Understandable as that may be, it is entirely reprehensible on many levels, as the murals contribute mightily to the economy of the city. One would think that, at a bare minimum, they would be properly marketed to the world at large but personal resentment towards us and political in-fighting have ensured that the exact opposite has been the consensus policy – to keep them hidden, in a word, an idiot interprise at best and very insulting not just to us but to all those who fought for democratic rights for so long and whose story we have told in the Bogside. Nevertheless, the murals we have created have made their own way in the world and are visited annually by tens of thousands of people despite the shameless attempts of Sinn Fein and Unionists alike to keep them out of sight. As we speak these paintings of ours that have featured in countless documentaries and articles all over the world have fallen into a bad state of disrepair from lack of local funding. We have just recently submitted an application so that we can bring the matter before council. That we are driven to do this is an appalling indictment against those who have purportedly been elected to represent the interests of the people. History, the very thing they have tried to stifle, will be their judge. In America we look forward to receiving the respect we feel we deserve. It will be a breath of fresh air for all of us.”

Quotes and Information on Cultural Exchange Influences and Guest Performers:

Since its inception in 2007, Hadar’s global jazz band TWIST has developed a reputation for twisting the style of international standards, performing original numbers and presenting songs in different languages. The upcoming recording will feature songs in English, French, Italian, Spanish, Japanese and Malagasy, the language of Madagascar.

“This is the most ambitious project I’ve ever attempted,” says Hadar, “and I feel like an acrobat without a net. I’m just so grateful to have such an amazing team of artists to collaborate with to bring the vision to reality. I have been incubating this project for a year during which I have been influenced by cultural exchange experiences as well as by loss and by my view of the world. I see our planet as if from a spaceship: without borders. We are all One. If each human truly had equal rights to adequate food, shelter, healthcare, safety, liberty and self-expression, I believe there would be no need for war. The Bridge is our metaphor for the connections we can make to each other to foster world unity and harmony. Each song represents a part of that Bridge, either because of its language or because of its theme.”

Co-producer and composer Candace Forest says, “The Bridges Project is the perfect vehicle for Lua’s talents, not only as a singer but also as a cultural diplomat. Her flair for languages combined with her passion for her music always creates deeply satisfying excitement for both her audiences and fellow musicians. I’m thrilled that one of my compositions, Come Back To California, written for our friend from Lille, France, bassist Albin Suffys, will be performed at Yoshi’s.”

The title Like A Bridge was inspired by French artist and writer Séverine Suffys, also of Lille, France, after the Suffys family hosted Forest and Hadar for a 2010 cultural exchange concert and master class. She wrote: A la rencontre des musiciens français qui inventent les rythmes et les mélodies des golden gates. Des ponts à danser sur toutes les musiques du monde. (To the meeting with French musicians who invent rhythms and melodies of golden gates. Bridges on which to dance to all the music of the world.)

During that collaboration in Lille, Hadar worked with members of Albin Suffys’ Musiconoclast’ Orchestra as well as the Agora Jazz Trio. Drummer Tohery Ravaloson later suggested a song from his native country, Madagascar. Raha Mbola Misy, will be performed on the upcoming recording, featuring reed player Larry De La Cruz on flute, complementing Hadar’s Malagasy language vocal.

Another notable French connection came from Hadar’s June 2011 meeting with French pop star Maxime Le Forestier, on the 40th Anniversary of his song about a Blue House in San Francisco’s Castro district. Hadar was also drawn to another of his compositions, Né Quelque Part (Born Somewhere), a world beat song about immigration rights featuring a Zulu language chorus. TWIST’s video performance of this song will feature not only global percussionist Ian Dogole, but also South African singer Gideon Bendile and members of his Kalahari Experience Zulu choir.

Educational collaborations with Japan have introduced Lua to koto player Fumiko Ozawa, who this past year made her koto orchestra debut at San Francisco’s Herbst Theater. She guests with TWIST on their interpretation of the Japanese 1963 pop classic Ue o muite aruko, honoring the dignity of the Japanese to “walk with their heads up’” after the devastating earthquake and tsunami of March 2011.

Guest cellist Emil Miland made his Carnegie Hall debut in 2010 with Frederica von Stade in her farewell recital. In the same week he made his jazz debut with TWIST at New York’s Cornelia Street Café, and has contributed to Like A Bridge on the mystical Tom Jobim song, Imagina. A champion of new works for cello, he has given premieres of music written specifically for him by such composers as Ernst Bacon, David Carlson, Andrew Imbrie, Lou Harrison, Jake Heggie and Dwight Okamura. As a member of the San Francisco Opera Orchestra since 1988, he has collaborated with many singers in recital including Zheng Cao, Joyce di Donato, Susan Graham, Marilyn Horne, Lorraine Hunt-Lieberson, and Frederica von Stade.

Brazilian drummer Celso Alberti says, ” It was an awesome experience recording with Lua along with all the great musicians that where part of this project. From start to finish the energy was highly positive and it was translated in the beautiful music that we made together. The crew capturing the audio and the video was one of the best I ever worked with.”

The development of these far-reaching arrangements could not occur without the artistic contribution of TWIST’s Music Director, Dr. Jason Martineau. Martineau says, “The song list for Like A Bridge honors the differences among us, celebrating their beauty, while seeing that we are, underneath, the same.“

Celso Alberti was born in Curitiba, Southern Brazil. The driving rhythms of his country’s music led him to develop an early interest in the drums and by the age of 17, he was performing regularly as a professional. In 1982 he decided to expand his musical horizons and moved to the U.S., where he has been living since. His dynamic drumming style, blending traditional Brazilian music with World and Rock influences, was quickly recognized and he soon started to work with musicians like Herbie Mann, John Lucien, Michael Manring, Joyce Cooling, Craig Chaquico, Airto Moreira, Flora Purim, Jose Neto, Andrei Kondakov and most recently the legendary Steve Winwood. Celso is also a respected audio engineer and holds credits on Steve Winwood, Airto Moreira, Kundalini Boombox and Mary Fettig’s latest albums to name a few. Both his driving style and his versatility provide TWIST with exciting flair and a rock solid base. www.celsoalberti.com

Experienced on both upright and electric basses, in styles of music ranging from jazz and latin to pop and rock, Dan Feiszli anchors TWIST with versatility and panache. He has performed in concert with such notable artists as James Moody, Raul Midon, and Mickey Hart, and toured nationally and internationally with artists including Julio Iglesias, Nicole Yarling and Raul DiBlasio. In between performances and recording sessions, Dan can be found working as a freelance recording engineer and producer at his studio in El Cerrito, California. www.studiorhythm.com

Recording artist, composer, teacher and reed man extraordinaire, Larry De La Cruz is a tried and true staple of the local jazz community. Having worked with likes of Bobby Hutcherson, Dave Liebman, Mike Zilber & Donald Harrison, De La Cruz also makes up 1/3 of the group Mo’Fone, one of the funkiest jazz projects ever to come out of the Bay Area. Larry’s dynamic soloing can range from Coltrane-esque runs on up-tempo tunes to soulful wails on slower ballads. Whatever the genre, Larry’s energetic style and musical sensitivity provide TWIST with color and variety whether he solos on tenor, alto, soprano or flute. www.larrydelacruz.com

As a major in Ethnomusicology (and Classics) at Brown University, Global Percussionist Ian Dogole delved deeply into the indigenous music cultures of the planet, while maintaining his fascination with the evolution of Jazz. Ian began to crystallize his vision of Global Fusion Music, blending the forms and instruments of Jazz with those of the non-Western world. Ian has released six audio recordings as a leader and has recorded and performed with artists such as Hamza El Din, Tito La Rosa, Paul McCandless, David Friesen and Alex Degrassi, to name a few. In addition to his own releases, Ian’s compositions can be found on recordings by the world/fusion group Ancient Future, and have been used by the San Francisco Giants, the Philadelphia Phillies, Brown University and the Indonesian Park Service. He brings an authentic world beat to TWIST with a variety of percussion instruments including udu, cajon and dumbek. www.iandogole.com

Rose of the Presidio and All In This Together, an ecology symphonic program premiered by the Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra. Her work, Come Back To California, dedicated to French bassist, Albin Suffys, will receive it’s U.S. premiere at Yoshi’s this week when she will perform it with Lua Hadar and TWIST. candaceforest.com

Following the announcement of the headline acts of Bestival 2012, All Fancy Dress has predicted the festival costume trends for the coming year with hilarious larger-than-life outfits coming in all shapes and sizes.

There is no better way to enjoy a music festival than to arrive dressed in a creative, wacky costume. At All Fancy Dress there are a superb selection of men’s and ladies festival costumes just perfect for Bestival goers.

Matt Foden, of All Fancy Dress, said:
“We have a good idea of what is going to sell well for this summer’s music festivals. Second Skin Suits, otherwise known as Morph Suits still remain a very popular choice for those who like to clown around with their identity hidden.

“For those heading to a festival with a partner our fantastic couples costumes are a great way of standing out from the crowd together. You can show people just how well you go together in our Bacon and Eggs costume or our Bananas in Pyjamas!”

Music festivals are a great opportunity for people to get their thinking caps on and show their creative side. All Fancy Dress also stocks a great range of festival hats and accessories designed to make any costume stand out from the packed crowds and even the bands themselves!

The XX, Sigur Ros and Justice are the three headline acts for this year’s Bestival celebrations, held at Robin Hill County Park on the Isle of Wight. This year’s fancy dress theme is wildlife, so why not also consider animal costumes from All Fancy Dress that have mainstream appeal to everyone of all ages.

Get ready as this suspenseful thriller about a trio of Chicago and Kansas City crimes bosses and an FBI Special Agent takes you on one serious rollercoaster ride. Carmine and Michael Bernazzoli of the Chicago Outfit has consolidated power with Thomas Galluccio of the Kansas City Outfit for many years. Their ability to make money, exercise power, and minimize bloodshed within the multi-billion dollar unions of the Teamsters has always been their clear objectives.

A new threat has arisen. That very threat is FBI Special Agent Wilfredo Feliciano. The Bernazzoli Brothers and Galluccio always believed that everybody had a price, that is, until Feliciano came onto the scene. Feliciano has been christened to investigate the unholy alliance between the Teamsters and powerful organized crime figures. The Chicago and Kansas City Mafia outfits are aware of how their notorious crime families will feel the hot breath of the U. S. Government closing in if Feliciano gathers all of his important data.

Money and power proves how the most precious jewel in their crown is the International Brotherhood of the Teamsters. As a last desperate measure, a band of bloodthirsty contract killers have been sanctioned by the Bernazzoli Brothers and Galluccio to take out Agent Feliciano. Will the three crime lords make their move on Feliciano before it’s too late? Fasten your seatbelts since this supremely fascinating tale of greed, power, corruption, betrayal, and sex goes where the shadows of a violent death lurks deep in the dark inner sanctums.
