The De Parade 2010 Festival Tours The Netherlands

The De Parade Festival is returning to The Netherlands in 2010 and will be visiting the cities of Rotterdam, The Hague, Amsterdam and Utrecht. The events will be a celebration of the arts, covering a wide range of theatre, dance and cinema genres with special children’s parades taking place each day.

Martin Luther King Park in Amsterdam will be filled with theatre tents from the 6th to the 22nd of August and visitors will be spoilt for choice with the variety of entertainment that is open to all. The festival takes place each summer, touring the major cities of The Netherlands and there is something to suit everyone, from young children to the elderly. Visitors will also be able to take advantage of the array of food and drink on offer at some of the stalls. Admission costs seven Euros and once inside visitors can purchase tickets for individual performances, though prices vary from two to eight Euros, but visitors are able to select the shows that appeal to them the most.

Performances take place throughout each evening and performers will be out in the street demonstrating their work, to entice visitors into the theatre tents. Most of the events have been created especially for this festival and usually last no longer than half an hour.

The Head of Marketing at DirectRooms.com, Lek Boonlert, says “The hotels situated around the venues are always popular so booking in advance is recommended.” For those looking for cheap Amsterdam hotels there is a wide choice available that offer comfortable accommodation at reasonable prices.
